The Dell Warranty Tool, which can be downloaded separately, but also comes in the Dell Command | Integration Suite, is no longer working.
To be more accurate, the tool works just fine, but the service that it connects to is what is no longer working. This backend service was created a long time ago and is now being retired.
A new tool is still in the works but there is no current ETA. Sorry for the inconvenience.
*This is not an official Dell blog*
Is there any chance you can pull the Warrant Tool download links? Or get someone at Dell to post something official on the DCIS page about this? Having to dig through comments that link to unofficial blogs to try and track if there's any progress isn't the best.
ReplyDeleteI have asked and I will go ahead and ask again.

ReplyDeleteWe have created a Dell Warranty tool to integrate into SCCM to look up individual systems.

Thank you John and Jalvarez.
DeleteBrad, I have to gather warranty data for a secure system with no internet access. The Dell tool would let you export the tags in a CSV and connect and gather the data from a different (internet connected) machine. Is there any other way you are aware of right now to do that? Cheers, Rich.
ReplyDeleteThere are several scripts and extensions online that can connect to the currently available API and pull that info. Unfortunately, they all require an API key to be applied for and assigned before they can be used. I do not currently know if or when another easy tool, like the previous one, will be available.
DeleteDoes anyone know of a tool that will use the Dell Warranty API to pull the warranty details of Dell machines into a SCCM DB so we can run reports?
